    SKS-528, Silk Fiber Cohesion Force Tester

    Product Details
    This instrument is suitable for testing the cohesion force of silk fibers according to the national standard GB/T 1798-2008 "Silk Testing Methods." It measures the cohesion force between different strands of silk from silkworm cocoons and can also be used to test the friction fastness of synthetic fibers, yarns, and other materials.

    The silk fibers are composed of several filaments bound together by their sericin (silk gum), and their cohesion force determines how firmly the fibers hold together. Poor cohesion results in weak fiber structures, more broken fibers, lower tensile strength, and poor abrasion resistance. During weaving, weak silk easily breaks, affecting the final quality. Therefore, testing the cohesion force of silk is crucial for assessing the internal quality of the silk.

    The newly designed Silk Fiber Cohesion Force Tester uses a precise linear guide transmission system, ensuring smooth, friction-free reciprocating movement of the friction knife holder, ensuring uniform friction during testing. The instrument also features an intelligent touch screen control system for easier operation.
